Citing in MLA style

The citing in the first paper has some similarities and some differences from the the second paper. In the first paper, when the author quotes something he puts the authors and and the page number in parenthesis. In so e cases the authors name was in the quote or paper and it was unnecessary to have the authors name in parenthesis. When he quoted 4 or more lines he indented the quote 1 inch. If the author isn't given to quote he used the title instead. He work cited page is double spaced and alphabetized by the authors last name.
In the second paper, when a source is quoted in another source, the secondary source and date are in the first set if parenthesis and the page number are in the second. When an in-text quote is cited, she used the authors last name, the publication date, and the page number and she put it in parenthesis. Her quotation of 40+ words was indented 5-7 spaces. Her work cited page was very similar to his, it was double spaces and alphabetized by authors last name.
