My first assignment for English 102 is an informational report. The purpose of this report is to increase the awareness of what a specific profession involves. My profession is going to be athletic training so my audience is going to be a group of high school students that are interested in becoming an athletic trainer. I will need to analyze and explain the responsibilities that are required for a athletic trainer and I will also need to use different types of sources such as an interview and academic sources to support my understandings. The genre of this assignment will be a report that will include researched source material in a formal language. My stance should be persuading and informational towards my audience. My media and design will probably just be print but in some reports diagrams and photographs are used to help illustrate the knowledge you are presenting.
One question I had about this assignment was that the guideline says that you need one interview and 3 written sources but it also says that you need at least 2 academic and 2 non-academic, so for the written sources do we need 3 or 4?
